The great German filmmaker Wim Wenders once met the legendary Sergei Parajanov and many years later visited his museum too. In 1987, Wim Wenders and Sergei Parajanov had both also made the list of the 20 Film Directors of the Future at the Rotterdam International Film Festival IFFR, along with Martin Scorsese, Jean-Luc Godard, Jim Jarmusch, Peter Greenway, Hou Hsiao-Hsien, David Lynch, Krzysztof Kieslowski and others.
