Vladimirov

Russian born Ukrainian photographer Andrey Vladimirov (Andrei Vladimirov, Andrii Vladymyrov, Андрій Гаврилович Владимиров, Андрей Владимиров) 1946-2021, captured many behind-the-scenes photos of the legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov on the set of his 1969 masterpiece The Color of Pomegranates, while Vartanov filmed these behind-the-scenes moments of Parajanov at work in the censored 1969 documentary The Color of Armenian Land. We often like to point out also that Parajanov usually “directed/choreographed” many of the photos for the photographers willing to capture him with their cameras.
