Varda-Nova Studio
Established by Mikhail Vartanov and Martiros Vartanov in the early 1990s, Varda-Nova Studio, one of the first independent production companies in Armenia, produced the renowned documentary film Parajanov: The Last Spring. Directed by Mikhail Vartanov and co-written by Martiros Vartanov, Parajanov: The Last Spring won the Russian Academy Award for the Best Documentary Film and the Golden Award at the San Francisco International Film Festival. It has also received the praise of many of cinema’s greatest masters such as Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.
