The list of unfinished or unproduced films from the great American magazine Film Comment included the unrealized project The Demon by the legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov.
Many other films that never saw the light of day by such masters as Kurosawa, Tarkovsky, Bunuel, Orson Welles, Kubrick, Bresson, Renoir, Eisenstein, and others, are also listed. This list was later made into a top 20 (expanded to 50) best unproduced films, but Parajanov was left out.
Perhaps not Parajanov’s The Demon, but his more important and unfinished The Confession (which survives in Vartanov‘s Parajanov: The Last Spring) should have been included instead, to begin with.
