Shklovsky

Viktor Shklovsky (1893-1984) was a Russian and Soviet literary theorist and critic who co-wrote with the legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov the screenplay of their suppressed film project The Miracle of Odense (actor Yuri Nikulin was to play Hans Christian Andersen). Shklovsky also wrote the screenplay of Vsevolod Pudovkin’s classic film Minin and Pozharsky which was filmed by cinematographer Anatoli Golovnya, one of Mikhail Vartanov‘s teachers at the world’s oldest film school (Moscow Film Institute) VGIK.
