Plotnikov

This beautiful image of the legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov was taken by Valeriy Plotnikov (probably on 03 March 1978). He had also captured Parajanov with Lilya Brik who was instrumental in securing Parajanov’s release from the Soviet prisons. Parajanov in gratitude had made a Lilya Brik doll which Mikhail Vartanov filmed in Parajanov: The Last Spring.
