Karen Kurdian (Kurdiyan)

Karen Kurdian, along with Yuri Sayadyan, was one of the two greatest sound designers at Armenfilm Studio. Kurdian, a close friend of Mikhail Vartanov, worked on all his most important films from The Color of Armenian Land (1969), Minas: A Requiem (1989) and Parajanov: The Last Spring (1992). Sayadyan worked on Sergei Parajanov’s The Color of Pomegranates and Kurdian was the sound designer of Parajanov’s unfinished film The Confession (1990), which was edited into Parajanov: The Last Spring.
