Martiros M. Vartanov spoke to Parajanov’s wife, and son Suren — to wish him a happy birthday, and we’ve learned that there was a terrible fire at the Parajanov family apartment in Kyiv (Kiev), Ukraine. Their personal Paradjanov archive has been damaged and they have no place to live (temporarily staying with friends).
