FESTIVAL DE CANNES
Parajanov-Vartanov Institute worked with The Film Foundation’s World Cinema Project, headed by Martin Scorsese, and Cineteca di Bologna’s L’Immagine Ritrovata, on the restoration of Sergei Parajanov’s magnum opus after Martiros Vartanov met them by chance at the Busan International Film Festival’s Parajanov and Vartanov film and art retrospective. The restored Color of Pomegranates (Sayat Nova) premiered at the 67th Cannes Film Festival in the Bunuel Theater.
