The legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov was on the list of BFI British Film Institute’s magazine Sight and Sound entitled The Wild Bunch: The 50 Mad Bad and Dangerous directors along with Fellini, Lynch, Herzog, and von Trier. The artwork was inspired by the Sgt. Pepper album of The Beatles. Many years later, the foundation of the late Beatles guitarist George Harrison funded the restoration of Parajanov’s masterpiece The Colour of Pomegranates (Sayat Nova).
